Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for parts on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading part in a variety of television dramas. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film) was critically as well as critically acclaimed commercially. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. They include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of both jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
